Email Server Upgrade

There has been no issues with the email server since the upgrade!!! yay!!!!! :D
The SPF records have also been removed for the time being due to IP address issues. I am working on getting the correct SPF records in place. 

Email Server Upgrade

Tonight at 6 PM MST the mail server will be upgraded to work with the new version of Plesk 8.3.
There are no expected issues to happen with this upgrade.
Expected email down time during the upgrade is around 30 minutes. 

Finally Working

Since the upgrade things have been messy and unfinished but as of TODAY everything is working!!!!

Email Server Update

The email server has been working 100% since 11 AM MST today. I also ran a repair on the email server and all problems should be fixed. If you notice any problems with your email acct please let me know.
Also all FTP access is down. I am still pushing SwSoft to get this fixed A.S.A.P.
The control panel @ http://controlpanel.elimedesign.com is back online.

Email accounts are online but can receive mail ONLY. SwSoft has been notified of this issue.
FTP Access is still down and SwSoft has also been notified.

Plesk Update P4

Plesk update is partially complete but the wrong mail server was selected. I am working on getting the mail server straightened out.
All email accts are offline until this gets fixed.

SwSoft has began working on the server. They have found some issues with the install and are trying to fix them.

Plesk Update P1

1-18-08 | 9:58 PM MDT.
We are almost 3 hours into the update and have encountered a Fatal Error. My provider is waiting to hear back from SwSoft (maker of Plesk) on how to fix the error or to see if they will finish the upgrade.
As of right now email accounts and web sites are online.
Updates will be posted as they become available.

We are waiting on SwSoft to take over and finish the upgrade or give a solution for the Fatal Error that was givin during the install. 
As of right now all web sites/email accts are ONLINE. 
FTP sites and webmail are OFFLINE. 

ASP.NET 3.5 Upgrade

The server will be rebooted sometime in between Jan 19 to Jan 22nd between 11PM and 4AM to finish the install of ASP.NET 3.5. We will try to do all updates with a single reboot but 2 may be required on some due to the ASP.NET installer process. 

Plesk Upgrade

This is a notice about the Plesk upgrade that will begin tonight at 7 PM Mountain Time. Expected down time is anywhere from 30 minutes or more. This means during the upgrade process web sites and email accounts will be offline. There is a possibility our mail server will also be upgraded at this time to work correctly with the new version of Plesk. Sorry for the inconvenience this will cause but it has to be done sooner than later. Control Panel Upgrade Update

My service provider is currently working with SwSoft to resolve issues about upgrading the Plesk software. At this time no upgrade has been done on the control panel or email server. 

Control Panel Upgrade

The hosting control panel at http://controlpanel.elimedesign.com maybe be down for awhile today.  My service provider and SwSoft have decided to fix the issues, I need to upgrade to the newest version. This upgrade will be taking place some time today (1/17/2008). There is also a chance the mail server will be upgraded to work with the new version of the hosting control panel. 

Network Maintenance/Plesk

In order to accommodate a few changes suggested by our service provider, there will be network maintenance this weekend. It starts Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 12:30 AM EST and will take 10 minutes to complete. Expected downtime in the process is 5 minutes or less.

Plesk (hosting control panel) is also being worked on due to random errors and other issues I have encountered. If you notice any error codes please submit them via the Help Desk at http://helpdesk.elimedesign.com

SPF Update

As of today the SPF record was put in place for all web sites hosted with eLime Design Studio. I did send out an email last night regarding the SPF record but it didn't get 100% finished since the virus scanner issue last night. With the SPF record in place it is very important that you ONLY use mail.elimedesign.com (POP3 and IMAP) and http://webmail.elimedesign.com (Horde webmail). DO NOT use anything that says mail.yourdomain.com or webmail.yourdomain.com. If you do there is a good chance your emails will be discarded as soon as they are sent. If you do not use any email services with your web site hosting with us, you do not need to worry about this. If you encounter any problems or have questions please submit a support ticket via http://helpdesk.elimedesign.com. 

SPF Record

SPF records have been set for all domains. SPF records help stop spammers pretending to be other people. If a email is received from an IP not on the SPF record the email will be rejected from the mail server. If you encounter problems sending emails please submit a support ticket via the Help Desk. 

Server Status - Memory Outage

Around 8:30 PM MDT we encountered a memory outage with the server. At 9 PM the server returned online. There was about a 5 min period or down time. My provider found the memory outage was due to the Virus Scanner. As of 9:05 PM the server is back online and running fine. We will continue to monitor the the server status to make sure things are ok. We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused but it just happened without knowing. 

SPF Update

As of 6:30 PM MDT a SPF record was put in place for all domains that are hosted with eLime Design Studio. It may take several hours for other servers to see the SPF. If you notice your emails are not going through as in being rejected or denied please submit a support ticket via http://helpdesk.elimedesign.com. A SPF record is a way to help stop spammers sending email as other people.

MySQL is running fine as of today. If you have problems please submit a support ticket via the Help Desk.
